1. Applying and Enrolment
How do I enrol in a course?
You do not enrol yourself. First take the Distance Learning Readiness Check. When every check has passed, the enrolment application opens: choose your course and batch and send your details. The Registrar then reviews your application (received, verified, paid) and enrols you. You are contacted at the e-mail address in your application.
How do I create an account?
You do not need to create one. When the Registrar enrols you, your account is created and your sign-in details are sent to your e-mail address. There is no self-registration on this site.
What can I do as a guest?
You can browse the courses and their descriptions, take the readiness check, apply for enrolment, and read the guest guide and this page. Lessons and assessments are open only to enrolled trainees.
Can I apply for more than one course?
Yes. Send a separate application for each course and batch. Each course has its own schedule and its own progress record.
Why is my course not on my Dashboard?
Your training course appears after the Registrar enrols you, and it opens only when you have completed the Trainee Orientation. If it is still missing after you have finished the orientation, contact the Registrar with your full name, course and batch.
2. Your First Sign-in and the Orientation
How do I sign in for the first time?
Use the Log in link at the top of the page with the details sent to your e-mail. You are asked to change the password you were given, then to enter a one-time code sent to your e-mail address. Never share your password or your code.
What is the Trainee Orientation?
A short course you complete before your first day: twenty-five (25) topics on how training runs, the rules, assessments, certificates, privacy and support, a knowledge check (pass mark 75%, you may try again) and your acknowledgments. You are enrolled in it automatically, and your training course opens when it is complete.
Can I use a phone?
You can read lessons on a phone or tablet, but use a laptop or desktop computer with a camera and microphone for live sessions and assessments. The readiness check tells you whether your computer is ready.
3. Studying and Live Sessions
How do I find my lessons?
Open your course from your Dashboard or My courses. The course information is at the top; the topics follow in order. Each topic opens when you have completed the one before it.
How do I join a live session?
Open the session link inside your course at the scheduled time, in Philippine Standard Time. Join only through that link. Your attendance is recorded at the start and at the end of each session.
How do I know I have completed an activity?
A completion mark appears beside each activity when you have met its condition, such as viewing a page or passing a quiz. Your course completes when every required activity and assessment is done.
How long do I have to finish?
Up to one (1) year from your enrolment. You receive reminders before the end of the period.
4. Assessments and Certificates
How do the topic quizzes work?
Each topic ends with a short quiz. You pass at 75%, and the next topic opens after you pass. Read the instructions on each quiz before you start.
How is the final assessment taken?
The final written assessment uses a secure exam browser and a camera check that takes a photo of you at intervals during the attempt. It is usually taken at the MAGSAYSAY training center on the date of your batch; the instructor gives you the password at the sitting. The practical assessment is always on site. Never use another device, another person's help or an AI tool during any assessment.
What happens if my connection drops during an assessment?
Your answers are saved as you go. Reconnect and open the quiz again to continue before the time runs out. If you cannot continue, tell your instructor or invigilator at once.
When do I receive my certificate?
Your Certificate of Training Completion is issued by MAGSAYSAY after your completion is verified and your record is accepted by MARINA. It is not downloaded from the course. The steps and how to collect it are in the orientation topic Issuance of Certificates.
5. Technical Help and Contacts
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Click Forgot password? on the login page, enter your username or e-mail address and follow the link sent to you. Check your spam folder if it does not arrive.
The page does not display properly. What can I do?
Use a current version of a major web browser, refresh the page, or clear your browser's cache and cookies. The readiness check tells you whether your browser and connection are suitable.
How do I contact my instructor?
Use the messages inside the LMS, or the contact details on the instructor and assessor page of your course. Keep messages professional and about the course.
Who do I contact about my application or account?
The Registrar. Before you are enrolled, use the contact details at the bottom of this page; after you are enrolled, use the support contacts in your course and in the Trainee Orientation.
